Tiensuu Studio is a shop, showroom and creative workshop all in one. Here you'll find carefully selected interior treasures — from antique vessels and patinated furniture to textiles, ceramics and objects with character. Everything is handpicked by Mette Tiensuu herself, on travels to Bali, Java, Eastern Europe and Morocco, among other places.
You can buy directly from the shop or order special pieces on request. We also carry selected brands within paint, wallpapers and stone veneer — and are happy to help put together materials for your project.
We offer tailored design solutions for both private clients and businesses — from a single room to entire homes and boutique hospitality projects. You can hire Mette to create a unique whole, or to track down specific objects: rugs from Morocco, antiques from Indonesia or something else entirely.

The Designer
Mette Tiensuu is the founder and designer behind Tiensuu Studio. For two decades she has created and designed complete environments for businesses, renovated thousands of square metres and drawn inspiration from hotels around the world.
She is the former founder, designer and co-owner of The Falcon Hotel, which in 2023 was selected by The Times for its list of Europe's best new beach hotels.
Today Mette is behind every single element of Tiensuu Studio — from concept and interior design to sourcing and creative collaborations. She moves from humble workshops in Bali to dusty pottery makers in Hungary to find the particular objects and details that give each project its character.
With a background in both business and aesthetics, she unites structure and intuition — and has built a studio that challenges trends and instead insists on atmosphere, character and soul.
The Studio
Tiensuu Studio is a lifestyle and a living space, where intuition and design unfold across styles, moods and sensory interiors. We create spaces with soul and substance.
Based on Bornholm — with an outlook toward the world — our approach is shaped by travel, curiosity and a love of places with history and meaning. Our work spans interior design, concept development and carefully selected objects, from handmade ceramics in Eastern Europe to vintage finds in Bali and specially designed pieces by female designers from around the world.
We don't believe in templates. We believe that genuine interior design begins with understanding the people and the place. A home should be able to breathe — a sculptural composition of colours, textures and forms that mirrors the energy of those who live in it. If a home has a pulse, you should almost be able to hear it the moment you walk in.
Tiensuu Studio was established in October 2024. We welcome both national and international clients for tailored projects and creative collaborations.
