Interior design
Every project begins with an understanding of the place, the context, and the people who will use it. Whether it's a guest experience or a home, it's about finding the essence, the place's own "why."
From here, we develop a clear direction, where the interior design is shaped with consistency and presence.
Tiensuu Studio works with private homes and hospitality projects, where the ambition is to create cohesive spaces that stand the test of time. We stay close to the process and are involved every step of the way, so nothing is left to chance.
Our approach is defined by dialogue rather than trends. We adjust and refine along the way, until the space feels right.
The result is rooms with a distinct identity, created to be used, lived in, and remembered.
Spaces that can be felt.
Villa Lejet
Villa Lejet is a complete interior design project in Tisvildeleje, one of North Zealand's most beloved coastal spots. The brief was to create a hotel rooted in the spirit of the Danish summer house drawing inspiration from the small bathing huts along the coast to shape soft lounges and warm rooms where guests feel immediately at home.
The project honours the classic Danish seaside hotel, but reimagined in a more playful and contemporary direction. With Tisvildeleje's beaches as the starting point, the interior is built around a soft palette of coastal blues and warm butter yellow, broken up by characterful wallpapers that give each room its own personality. The result feels familiar and nostalgic, yet full of life and small surprises.
Tiensuu Studio was involved for seven months as interior designer and co-creator of the visual identity, responsible for ensuring a coherent thread throughout the entire experience, from the first ideas to the finished room, while serving as a close and trusted sparring partner for the client through every stage of the transformation.
WHY
To understand the place before we shape it
DIRECTION
We set direction through moodboards, storytelling and design.
REALISATION
We execute through budgets, sourcing, installation and renovation.
The Falcon Hotel
A complete interior design and art direction project for a classic 33 room hotel on the coast of Bornholm, focused on developing a unified identity with the potential to grow over time, visually, in operations and in the guest experience.
With antiques, vintage finds and budget conscious purchasing, we created a hotel with a restaurant that quickly became one of the most talked about in its opening year and has since been selected by The Times as one of Europe's best new seaside hotels.
Rooted in a historic building from 1907, the interior is a contemporary interpretation of travel, nature and staying. Every choice contributes to a unified narrative, giving each room a distinct identity where architecture, history and design work as one cohesive experience.
A place that feels warm, familiar and full of character.
PROJECTS
From private homes to hotels. And everything in between.
Have a project in mind? Let's talk about it.
Private homes
Rooted in your everyday life and the way you want to live, we create spaces with character, pulse and direction. Nothing is accidental. Everything is chosen with intention.
We work with atmosphere as our starting point. With respect for what is already there, and with an eye for what it can become. Spaces with soul. Spaces that feel lived in.
We can help with the entire process, from renovation and dialogue with craftsmen to purchasing, assembly, installation and styling. We also offer guidance in smaller consultations on the choice of furniture, wallpapers and colours.
Whether it is a home in Denmark or abroad, an investment property or a home to be shaped from scratch, we create the atmosphere that makes a space something special.
